Are you particularly confident, Alondria? Sometimes Ifind when I'm feeling insecure, I check and recheck and reapply the spackle.

Today, however, I was feeling so dreadful, I did shit all, actually went out to work sans makeup , hair a mess and with my glasses on. It was actually rather liberating.

I think its more a case of i dont give a flying fuck what others think of me :) ive just read this to craig n he just smiled nodding his head lol


I suppose i (mostly) know who i am and as long as im ok on the inside then the outside doesnt really matter, if people only judge me on my looks and not my actions then thats their problem. I dont know if thats confidence but its who i am

Sounds like confidence to me! I used to get teased mercilessly as a child for being" ugly". I outgrew the ugly but sometimes those schoolyard insecurities stick with you.

I got bullied too, for the whole lot, fat, ugly, red head, leftie, gobby, liked books. I just didnt care

I started to fight back. A few good punches well placed shuts the fuckers up. My father who had boxed in university taught me that. It's not PC but it does work. ;)

I was never bullied with violence or words. If only, because I could have easily beat the crap out of anyone (plenty of fights with boys when I grew up..). And I wasn't terrible with words either   Rather I was shunned out. You can do nothing, when backs are turned at you. That is something that gets me still.

  

I am going to sell my apartment. First showing is on Sunday... it could take awhile, its very slow but I haven't yet bought or reserved another so I have time.

I only wear foundation to cover up my uneven skin tone and blush to give me a little color since I am pale as anything. On special occasions I will also wear lip gloss and mascara. But I never wear eye shadow, eye liner, or lipstick. Dont like them and dont know how to apply them nicely

I usually wear a mineral powder foundation and a bit of mascara and lip gloss or lipstick when I go out. Sunscreen is important too in this country. I wore more makeup when I was having chemo because it made me feel better. When you have no hair, no eyebrows or eyelashes even, you feel like you need a lift. it makes a huge difference to self esteem.

I don't do it for anyone else, I do it for me. My husband doesn't care if I wear it or not. He loves me regardless   

 

If I am at home, I wear no makeup. I think its good for the skin to have off days and as often as possible. When I go to work or day time trips, I put on very light foundation and/or just powder (I have a fairly good skin). For parties, nightlife I do the eyeliner, mascara, eyeshadow, lipstick.. the whole thing. Its as much for others as it is for myself, other people have made themselves look good for me, so I will return the favor.   

Tomorrow night I have a date with a cute boy so I will be using zee works! Except foundation. I hate the way it feels on my skin. I only use a light powder to soak up the grease. 

Also it's buggeringly cold here. Minus 30 with the wind chill. So normally on a date I wear a fuck me dress with fuck me shoes (provided of course that I want to fuck him at this stage in the game) but due to the cold, I have to wear a big bulky sweater and muckluks. Not nearly as fun! Reckon he'll still fuck me though.

Study day today - getting my brows and lashes done!

Will have to do studying later, am 2 weeks behind!

Oh Anne... basking in the Finnish sun, with a rum drink in hand. Yeah, you know it's cold when it's warmer in *Finland *!! Lol.

Morning - I have a cold

Morning. It's cooled off here again, but it's going to get hot again early next week. Summer in Melbourne is weird.

this winter has been so damn brutal....ending up paying $458 for two new tires

anyway, Sheila yes I watched Sherlock and loved the first half of it, but when Watson was abducted it got kind of paint by numbers and less interesting but still overall it was great to have the show back even though I am still confused over how he faked his death!

Yeah it's was a non-reveal essentially...but I thought it worked. And I loved how he kissed Molly! Cute and nice to finally have my fave show back on the air. I've already pre-ordered Season 3.

Nice date on Friday. We went to my favorite pub, The Queen and Beaver (yeah yeah "The Queen's Beaver", as some low minded characters call it )and ate foie gras and quails eggs and got drunk and happy. I draw a veil over the rest of them evening  But I like him and plan to draw the veil over several evenings in their future. Mind you, I realize that I have really graduated to such a high level of eccentricity that it's is very unlikely I will ever stay with one guy forever. Either he will end up irritating me to death or I will weird him out. Lol.
Last night, I went with some friends to see an AMAZING live stage show of Ancient Chinese dancing and singing. The costumes were STUNNING and the whole thing was a feast for the senses.
