Another 3 days off work, I need it after a busy week!

My dads birthday celebration today.

Lovely time with dad ...I got him The Queens Speech (the movie) and a couple of Folio collecton books and bought everyone a pub lunch.

My dad brought me a first edition Edgar Rice Burroughs book which had been a gift from his father to my dads two elder brothers who died on the field of battle during WWII.

Well I showed my brother the book and he grabbed it. I was actually planning on giving it to him as he is the Burroughs fan but to have him literally SEIZE it from me and say " well that should obviously be for me" well its fucking irritating!

I didnt make a fuss in front of everyone but am FUCKING IRRITATED.y brother is quite a bit older than me and a firm believer it seems in the concept of the antiquated notion of Patrimony. Is not the first time Ive noticed this. I also notice though he basicakly only seems to believe in it when it benefits HIM .


Dad saw the whole thing and said my brothers nickname in the family which is "The Pope" is too apt as he not only is "infallible" but issues Papal Bulls!

Anyhoo...lovely afternoon, other than that!

Watched a movie called Animal Kingdom from Australia, a crime drama, I was quite taken by it, such colorful complex characters you want to know so much more about, dialogue which was rich and original, a twisted plot which complimented some twisted yet strangely enduring characters, a real gem to me, and yet I don't know a soul who might like it as much as I did, lol

I just got home from working a party where in addition to me,the tarot reader, they had a naked Asian chick covered in sushi. People milled around drinking wine and cocktails and picking sushi off her naked body while she lay there, waxen and still as a corpse
