Ugh...So they've been fucking around with my salary and as a result; I'm behind on rent. I'm NEVER late with my rent. something to do with a new computer-system and four idiots,responsible for paying people's salaries. I told them yesterday that, they should fix it, Immediately. I work 40 hours but, I got paid about 15!
So, all day long, they kept coming to my desk giving me updates on how this could happen and who was at fault. I'm never short with my superiors but, this was just too rediculous. I turned around and looked him straight in the eye:

Considering the hours I got paid; I should'nt even have to be here. But, if I leave early, none of the mess YOU'VE created(my dpt is an administrative disaster-area) will get cleaned up...BY ME. That's my job; to fix things. Now I have a problem: I'm behind on my rent, thanks to some mistake, technicality,whatever-I don't really care. I just find it so...confusing; instead of wasting time on telling me what went wrong ever 5 minutes, why don't you try and not interrupt my workflow untill you have a sollution instead of a list of probable causes? Passing the buck and pointing fingers at other people, is not very efficient.. I just have to get paid;that's all?"

And then I turned around and went back to work. Today; they did'nt dare to come near me. But I saw them running around all panicky and nervy telling me; "We're working on it!" in passing. I just gave them a curt nod, channeling Miranda Priestly:P

It's done, now.All fixed. I'll thank them in the morning, ofcourse. After all; they did'nt mean for this to happen. But i find it so strange when your job is to fix a problem and you go wasting energy on WHY it happened instead of finding a sollution, first! No wonder they're so behind on everything!

Rodney. Ack that sucks. There was a banking problem in Finland last week and people did not get their salaries at all. I can just imagine the problems it causes.

I got a small raise today, (for next salary) but they fucked it up. It was smaller than what I was promised. My boss promised to fix it. Sure

I know, me too. I try not to use my card but sometimes I HAVE to. If I had never used it at all these past 3 years while I have been trying to pay it off I would probably have about 2,000 less in debt right now than what I do have. It sucks!

I quit my job at the spa today. Next saturday is my last day. I have been wanting to quit for about 3 months now, my boss more and more just picks on me and I feel like she has been trying to push me to quit. Well she got her wish. She was picking on me for something yet again today, and that was the final straw for me. I told her next week will be my last week. I dont think she expected it. She was telling me she wants me to stay. yea right, she never acts like she wants me to! Ever since she took over from the original owner she has always acted like she doesnt like me, and treats me unfairly compared to the others. She told me I can think on it tonight and change my mind tomm if I like and we can talk about it further. But I dont want to. I cant put up with her anymore, I really cant. She has been causing me nothing but constant stress these last 6 months. I can only take abuse for so long.

She still hasnt replaced the other esthetician that left over 3 months ago and now she wont have any! Good I am glad. I will just waitress more hours temporarily while I look for something else. I want to get more into medical esthetics anyway.

I bet she will know what she's lost when you walk out that door for good Michele!

Rodney - I actually had to google Miranda But yeah, icy treatment works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't. It is usually the hot headed screamers that get the best pay in this house.



Plenty to do and its Friday so don't feel like doing that much Dilemma! But I guess I just have to play the good little employee that I am. Nothing special planned for the weekend. However I am doing a little bit of good. Because of world animal day(and week), there is this venue on Sunday. I am going to be there bright and early to help set it up.

How cool, Anne. I did some volunteering, last year. It's true what they say; it's so fulfilling! Michele, is it really wise to leave your job, without anything else in the pipeline? I would give your boss another chance and have a good, professional, talk with her. Tell her how you feel and be completely honest but, passive agressive. Always start with : I think/experience/feel that...etc. And then listen to what she has to say and if there's a willingness from both sides to work on a better working-relationship; give it another shot.

Had a chat with my boss, today. Told him under no uncertain terms what I thought of the whole payment-fuck up. Ofcourse, I thanked the peeps who resolved the issue but, I did make it very clear that, I'm still not impressed and hope things will change...Then i went on a one-on-one with my boss and told him how HAPPY(lol) was with my new team and that we were really getting things done, now...just to let him know it's water under the bridge(and bigging up the team:P he loves us,now). He said how greatly appreciates our work and how "gentlemanly" I handled the situation.

oh god a holiday, i would love a holiday. ah well, maybe soon, if i can get a full time job (got an interview on sunday) then maybe we can go to whitby for a week next year. a friend has offered us their caravan any time we want it, all we need then is a car

Icy treatment often works quite well with assholes. I'm not naturally an icy person but I've noticed that when confronted with an asshole of a certain stripe, if I adopt my best "now see here, my good man" (upper class English accent, channelling my late, great mother) it gets results.

Oh Michele, I am sorry. And yes she probably already realizes her mistake. Ugh what a lot of nasty ass people there are in the world.

On another note, I've been watching Game of Thrones. Holy crap.. it is totally AMAZEBALLS! I think it is an even greater achievement than LOTR or Gladiator, both of which are in my top ten movies of all time. As far as any tv dramas go, I don't think there's even any comparison.

Jane be careful in Mexico. Scary stuff can happen. lol and Im even Mexican/American and scared of Mexico! Crazy fuckers. A border patrol guy got shot this week. Its a hot mess there.

Awesome! I am sure it will be fine. There tends to be a emphasis on the "dangers" of this and that but most of the big cities are not that dangerous. Its just about keeping your wits and that's it.

I would LOVE to go to Mexico! Why is it when I think of possible destinations; I think of the local cuisine first and things to do, later? I love mexican food!

We're staying at a big resort near Cancun so should be fine! All inclusive too so lots of different restaurants to try!

i take back what i posted about theo on fb earlier. feel really sorry for the miniman now. he was in his room for being a pain and he was crying but i thought he was faking it at first, but he kept going and it sounded worse and worse so i went to check on him and he was sat on the floor with a photo of his grandad and he was so upset. we sat and had a good cuddle

Cancun is awesome! Total party town with nice shopping and beaches of white sand that have to be seen to be believed. Try to get out to the Mayan ruins at Tulum and to Xhelha (sp?) I had one of the best days of my life snorkeling amid tropical fish and basking in the sun at Xhelha....
