Morning!

After spending morning babysitting a hyperactive 6 and 4 year old I am Knackered!

Exhausted too! Did some animal welfare helping today for like 5 hours and it was rainy and cold. Then took the wrong bus and had to walk home. Warm shower felt soooooooo goood. I would do it again though. Helping animals that is, not taking the wrong bus.

Just been to gym and had the ladies only section to myself so had a go on everything! It's always quieter at weekend but this was really quiet.

Now it's study time - social exclusion, the welfare state and how to evaluate practice! Good job I enjoy this stuff!

Got up early this morning to watch a segment on Sunday Morning and they didn't even air it. :evil:

James wants a new mattress so we went shopping for that. Going to give the one we have now to the girl on the second floor next door.

you dont know this woman, there is no changing her. Her whole thing is favoritism. She wants everyone to kiss her ass to the highest degree and THEN, after kissing her ass for a while, she might be good to you. Well I am no ass kisser, for one. Secondly, my main issue with her is that she insists on not letting me do colon hydrotherapy and esthetician work in the same day. She wont let me take just whatever appts come in for any service, nope. But she hasnt even at least divided up my schedule fairly, most of my hours were devoted to esthetics (which there hardly is any steady esthetics business in that place) and very little for colon hydrotherapy (the much more popular service)

The past few months I have been struggling to get people to come in for facials regularly, everyone is into medical esthetics these days and a regular euro facial just does not cut it for most people anymore. It is extremely hard to get people to not only come in for it, but to come back consistently. Sure I have a some facial clients but almost none of them come in consistently. There has never been any real waxing business there. I only have 1 regular waxing client. However, it is very easy for me to build a colonic clientel. and I have been doing that the best I can with the limited colonic hours that she gives me. She was only letting me do colonics on weds from 3-8 and every other thursday from 10-5. That is it. If my colonic people cant come in on that times, she wont accomodate them and let them book with me say on a monday or something when I am there and have plenty of availability.

Several times I have asked her to give me more colonic hours. When she first made my schedule this way, she did it to give her 20 year old daughter all the colonic hours she wanted when she came home form college. Nevermind that A) her daughter only works there like 3 months out of the year and B) she isnt very good at it. She kind of sucks at it actually, she is uncomfortable giving colonics to men and she looks like she is 15 years old. So you can imagine some people would be put off getting colonics from her.

Then when my co-worker Kris quit back in august (she left for the same reasons as me) I asked her again to give me more colonic hours. She just kept putting me off saying "I dont know" instead there were plenty of days when I was at the spa with little or no appts and colonics were coming in that I could have done and she wouldnt give them to me because I was on for facials that day. She would do the colonics herself instead of letting me make money! And let me tell you, I had literally only 5 facials the ENTIRE month of september and 0 waxing appts. The only spa service I was making any money on was the body wraps. If it wasnt for them I would have really quit. Not to mention she insulted me a month ago when my boyfriend came in for a colonic and she had the fucking nerve to say that she was concerned I would do something unprofessional with him during the session.

Now she hired a new colon hydrotherapist who happens to be a friend of hers. She is training this woman for FREE (she isnt even an instructor and shouldnt even be training anyone on it) while I had to pay $3,000 to become a colon hydroptherapist and this woman gets whatever hours she wants and she AGAIN changed my schedule (and without even giving me a heads up about it) to accomodate to her friend rather than treating her loyal long term employee right first and foremost.

I already have a new job though at a med spa where I will be doing colon hydrotherapy as well as learning some medical esthetic treatments. I will be starting there the week of the 15th.

oh and she decided that instead of letting me work my already scheduled appts next week that she made yesterday my last day. I know she did this because I had 4 of my regular colonic clients coming in and she is afraid probably that I would take my clients with me. She is right, cause I would have.

You should let your employees play to their strengths and your interest and talent is clearly in the colonic field. What other medical esthetic treatments will you be learning?

Not sure if she is going to teach me all of the treatments but I know she is at least teaching me microdermabrasion as well as peels and hydrofacials.

so I am off all this week except for work at the restaurant saturday and sunday. In a way it will be a nice break from working, but I know by weds afternoon I am prob going to be really bored. Although, this week I can prob see my boyfriend on thursday in addition to tuesday.

he is off his full time job on tuesdays and thursdays during the day and he works those nights at his part time job. Tuesday is the only day I ever get to see him. We spend the morning and afternoon together. I dont see him on thursdays because I was always at the spa. He will come down to my apartment on tues, so maybe I can go up to him on thurs and spend some time.

It is just as well not to burn your bridges. Not that you'll work with that bitch again but who knows who she might know in the business. If it were me I probably would have done something stupid and impulsive and tell her off. But that is because I am too often stupid and impulsive!

I have watched it and it is good. Liked the first season better though! I had probs with the small fighting sets in the second. A question of money of course but I hate it when it interferes with visual aesthetics.





Today after work a train to Helsinki and 2 day project leader course. I already bought a book for the journey, 3 hours in a train back and forth. Not a fan.
