| And were absolutely praying for rain here. We did get a bit of a welcome deluge last night but other than that its been dry as a bone and my crops, flower and veg gardens are suffering. | |

| James and I went on the diet that we sometimes do. I have more weight on me than I have ever had and it just grosses me out. It is a three day thing and I usually loose between 7-10 lbs. I am going to do it then do the recommended four days off then do it again until I get to where I want. | |

| man I missed out on alot. I backread a bit on here. It being my birthday week I wasnt around to post much. My casino birthday was so much fun! I won 300 bucks. We ate like kings and had drank up like crazy. Went swimming and ordered drinks at the pool and goofed around. We really didnt even need our rooms but to shower cause we stayed up til the morning. I think we got like 2 hours sleep. Woke up had breakfast and went to the pool til checkout time. Jesse I know you go to casinos. Try the Michael Jackson slot machine. I loved it! Its kinda like the Wizard of Oz one. Thats where I won 155 bucks on. Oh and the Batman one is awesome too! You can choose to be the Joker or Batman. I like the huge screen and the clips and mini games. | |

Oh my god. I feel like I don't know who you are anymore. how dare you read Twatlight! :P I did the same a lil' while back; seen two of the Twatlight movies. They were horrendous movies. I read one Charlaine Harris book; and I get why people love her Sookie-books. it's just not my style. at all. Not sure abut the Twatlight books but, I'll take your word for it. The mere thought of the movie...still makes my skin crawl.

| ok, i've read the twilights and all the sookie books and i really like both and considering the books we all have in common (anne rice) and how kind of alike they are i don't quite get how yall can't read them. ok, i'll give you the twilights (read the host peeps) but i don't get why most of you don't like the sookie books. try charaines grave books, no vamps or anything
where did they start to lose you sheila?

| I don't think it's the subject matter. we all love vampires, here. It's just a matter of different strokes different folks.for me with anne Rice; it's not just the action and the supernatural; it's the philosophical nature behind it. Most VC-books really made me think or, made me go "wow' or have had a huge impact on me(TVA). she could have chosen any kind of platform and i would still like it. as good and popular as Harris is; its not my thing. But that doesn't mean it's bad
But, i don't hide my disgust for Twilight :P
And that edward cullen is CLEARLY retarded. Centuries old but, he still requires a high-school education. Armand only needed a couple of years with marius. He did'nt go to highschool. After a a couple of centuries; i think you get the gist of things:P not so with Edward the immortal idiot.
Sheilster: with Harris, when you're churning out books the way she does; you tend to run out of ideas.still has a loyal fanbase, tho. maybe it's because I'm biased because of TB. but Charlaine harris doesn't suck nearly as much as twatlight

| I watched Twatlight for shits and giggles. It was something to waste time. Although the second one I excused myself for the restroom and never came back. The peeps I went with found me at the arcade riding a motorcycle game. I got one of my gifts through the mail today. I got Rachael Ray knives from my man. I called my sister and told her that it equals = cook more bitch wife. | |

| Batman slot machine! I want to play! I got Batman fever right now. Just came from Best Buy where I bought the first two Christopher Nolan Batman's for 10 bucks each on blu ray! Gonna watch the first one tonight and the second in a couple days, all leading up to the new one on friday, going to see it in IMAX, and the reviews coming in are beyond excellent! | |

I know! And its so damn boring and uneventful. I have seen the movie and I thought it was boring too but the second movie I just hated. Could not even finish it. I think I would have hated Twilight at 15 (to whom its meant for? 13-16?) At 31 I just think its lame as hell. I read the first Sookie book and it was a better fit because its meant for adults. However I could not shake the feeling that it's basically a vampire harlequin. I could read Sookie books if there was nothing else on the shelf but there always is. I have Jane Austen's book coming after Twatlight... Can't fathom how I can handle that.
