We watched the season 3 opener of Downton Abbey tonight that we recorded on the box Sunday when Jane was here. It was great, Dame Maggie stole the show as usual.

Does anyone else watch it?

I watched Downtown Abby on line the other night. I am a fanatic for the show. Simply adore that it has a gay man as a villain.

I hoped you had seen it Dan.

From the season preview it did show a hint to a gay story with Thomas to follow....

I have just loved Downton from episode 1. I was a fan of Gosford Park written by Julian Fellowes so watched from the start. I love the characters and think it has been so brilliantly cast, Hugh Bonneville as Lord Grantham and of course Dame Maggie as the Dowager Countess is superb!

My very very favorite part of the series is still where The Dowager Counties shields her eyes with her fan from that hideous electric light her son has installed in Downton.


Her most famous line is good too. "whats a weekend?'

I got the Dowager Countess and when I told the curator at Victoria Mansion (who is a huge fan too) she just looked over her glasses at me and in perfect Dowager English said "I would expect nothing less from you Dan."

And in the new season just been on, the Dowager Countess says,

Aw you are sweet, Jules <3. I'm always patient with the socially awkies too. And sometimes they calm the fuck down and start acting normal once they have relaxed. I feel for people like that having been a doofus myself at one pt. This was

Oh yes I watch it too. I only got into it late so had to buy them first two seasons and went through the episodes in a flash... so addictive! I was hoping to PVR season three. I hope it hasn't already started here!

Ugh I'm having a fuck of a time navigating just about everywhere since I installed the" upgrade" on this Galaxy Nexus. Upgrade my anus!

Well on that note I shall bugger off. We are going to be buying a bunch of stuff for the house tomorrow including a new tv. Mark got my old one (not much he didn't get, the rapacious fiend but I think I may have mentioned that before ). Anyway have been making due with a crappy old one for over two years. Time to upgrade!

Unexpectedly warm today, been in the garden doing last tidy up of the year.

Think I'm gonna do some steam cleaning next then watching dr who and my Hunger Games extras on the blu ray pet got me for my birthday.

why could that be little old me???? lol. We sell those squatting stools at my job. Each colonic bathroom has one in it. I dont have one at home but when I go I do put myself in a squatting position as much as I can

Possibly my favorite thing about my car is that once a month I get a maintenance report sent to my email from my onstar. It does a diagnostic reading of my car and tells me if and when I need to do any maintenance on it. It told me this month all is good except that my tire pressure on two of my tires is getting low. It told me I wont need to change my oil until 10,000 miles which really shocks me! As I still thought I had to stick to the 3,000 mile standard! I think technology is bad in some ways, but this is one of the ways that I think it is greatly beneficial!

We've finally decided on a destination for our holiday next year, after going from Bahamas to Antigua to Seychelles we've decided on Cancum in Mexicio. Not booking it until we know for definite Rick's holidays as it can vary a little.
