True Blood discussion thread - seasons 4 and 5

this birthday of mine just gone has been the first where i didn't get the latest DVd - season 4 - I don't know why, I just don't feel so enthused. I loved season 2 with Mary Ann, but season three and the werewolves and that vampire king just left me cold

True Blood isn't what it used to be. But, the characters and the acting still compells me to watch. This season is certainly better than the last one. But it's still not season 1-quality.

But, Russel is fantastic!

I feel like each season is almost completely different from each other Some seasons I loved and other seasons I don't love as much. This season to me has a completely different feel to it than the last 3. I think because it is focusing almost entirely on the vampires and very little on the other supernatural entities, which I like better because I think the vamps should be the core of the show

last night's ep was really good! The quiet before the storm! The whole Hoyt moving thing was so sad!

I loved it when Russell denounced all the bible thumpers! Go Russell!

I had a dream last night that I was a shape shifter, I was a friend of Sam's and we used to be a couple before but were now just friends. In my dream he was dating Luna but I was helping them out find Emma. Sexual sparks flew again between me and Sam and we started hooking up again, but didnt want to continue because we both like Luna. Then we decided for the 3 of us to be in a polyamorous relationship and we lived happily ever after! lol. Something like that. It was cool, we kept shifting into different animals. There were no vamps or anything in the dream, just us shape shifters

I liked that Vampire Bill set up Eric and whatshername so that he could see what would really happen. Then low and behold there that hologram shows up to prove his theory.

How sad was that?Poor Jason. Jessica looked so pretty,btw. Sam's shifter-gf is starting to annoy me. Kinda sad Sookie staked the undertaker. I thought he was hilarious.

I still cant figure out if bill is truly buying into all this lilith crap, or if he is just a REALLY good actor with another plan in the works......

He did not see, anything. All he saw and heard was Eric and that chick on their knees, talking to an invisible Godric and Lilith. As the girl and Eric appeared to "give" in; Bill bowed his head and said "Praise Lilith" My guess is that Bill knows something is up but, whenever he starts looking for the "truth", something happens that, only strengthens his belief in Lilith. There is no "hologram"; it's all craziness.

Last night's episode explains a lot about this madness.

no, where did the hologram come from? And in this ep, he seems to be pretty much spellbound by Lilith, and seems to be completely bought by it

He looked into the background and you could see where the red light that both Cedric and she came from. It came from a tiny space in the back of the room.

NO! It's an hallucination. That tiny space from the back of the room was liliths' vial.Bill did not see Godric! "We"-the viewers see what the vamps see. but the vamps can't see eachothers hallucinations outright. Why then, was eric the only one to see godric when they first drank Liliths's blood? The only other vamp who saw godric, was Eric's vamp-sister. And that only happened when she was WITH Eric.Bill did'nt see that. he only heard Eric and his sister, jabbering.He did not see anything. why would he say "Praise Lilith" to himself?

Which solidfies pam's theory; you put some vamps together and they feed off eachothers' madness. My guess is that Salome put some weird shit in that vial of blood and let the "nesting" syndrome do the rest. like i said; Bill and Eric are on to something but, the funky v-blood keeps bombarding them with hallucinations. Or...Salome was the only member of the Authority who ever tasted Liliths' blood and went cuckoo. Hot Roman, never drank Lilith's blood-he just believed in it. he did'nt go crazy; he just got sexy:P

THANK YOU! Alcide and the wolfpack-storyline should gtfo. The show is dealing with too many storylines, only getting good in the final three episodes. i don't know if it's the same material as in the books but, maybe they should cut some of it out.

theres not much about the weres in season 4 really, there would have been if they'd done it more to the books

Season 4 is okay but. it's not the same as the Maryann season.The weres are a distraction but, they don't feature that much. The star of that season has to be Russel. He was purrr-fect.
How i fantasized to someday be picked up by a Maryann-type of lady. chill at her magnificent place for a while, lounging by the pool,reading, some good music..."Eggs", the best weed, go to work, come home to a perfect dinner...wild parties:P but just for a little while. Like a summer-holiday

season 5 is better than season 4 but, still not up to season 1/2-standard. Must say that the season-finale promises some good shit for next season. WTF is Bill? WTF, is this Lilith-blood!!He completely dissolved and now.....

If anything; this season was the best for male nudity and softcore-porn(Alcide/Ken-doll).
Oooh and Jason and Sookie's dad...wow...what a hottie:P and why does their mother look so...boring. Not anything like i expected.
And if any human-woman could have a pregnancy and delivery like a fairy; they'd be pregnant ALL the time. That fairy was having multiple orgasms!

So who saw the finale???? OMG! So bill truly DID go crazy and power hungry on the vampire religion! I really thought at the last minute, the old Bill would come back. But NOPE! Now he is like the vampire god or something, literally! His transformation at the end was SCARY AS HELL! I dont like this Bill AT ALL! I want the old Bill back!

Kind of sorry to see Russell go but glad Eric finally got his revenge. I really liked the werewolf part of the story in this episode. And I was glad that Sam and Luna were able to get themselves and Emma out of that mess!

I wonder where Steve Newlin went to?
