I hope it wasn't me blabbing to me not being as drawn to the 2nd picture as the first? Besides, I'm sure her work has been critiqued before? Nobody was being nasty or, mean? We all seem to find her very talented? Shame. I would love to read her story behind the paintings and pick her brain. we like new members! Dan is keeping them for himself! :P

| In Michele's defense: She wasn't being mean or nasty?(i still fucking hate her untill she reaches her suck-up-to-me quota) I thought it was me. I'm the only one who explained-at lenghth why I did'nt like the2nd as much as the 1st? Did I come across too negative? Dan- your little owl is making a re-appearance in the last picture! I like that one. I also like the three abstract panels! this might sound strange. But, the way she painted those ; that's what I imagine thoughts to "look like" when travelling through the brain.leaving trails. | |

| I actually really like the second one and although I can see that technicslly the first is good,it does nothing for me though it would likely be different if I saw it in person. | |

| She just finished a show in New York City Sheila and yes she does sell her work. Before the NYC show she had a show in Scotland and sold all thirty paintings. I am telling you this young woman is going to be famous.
No Rodney it wasn't you. I am sure her work has been critiqued too but that would be by art critics and not somewhere where I am trying to show her off.

| Rodney I had not notice my little owl in the black and white piece. I was too lost in the woman's hair. I love that little owl. I am also really drawn to the panels that are reminiscent of being under the sea, or at least that is what they convey to me.The ones right above the black and white. | |

| Hm. still would be nice to have new interesting members. they must have so many stories to tell. But, i understand. Well, I hope you tell them how impressed we all are.
OMG! i LOVE the panels!!!!!but, i said that already:P to me they look like meandering "thoughts" They also look like stylized jellyfish.
This girl is talented, alright. as soon as she becomes famous ; i'm gonna drop her name like a whore: "I knew about her before she became big!"

| Yes stylized jellyfish. Yes, that's what I mean by under the sea. I will tell her about this thread. I have already mentioned the Garden to her. How long I have been here. What a tight knit group it is. | |

omg yes!!!!! I love it!!! I really like all 3 of these ones, and better than the first two. I really like the play with colors here, the bright red and white only with all those patterns going on in the first two I admit did kind of hurt my eyes a bit when looking at it

THANK YOU RODNEY!!! I didnt say anything negative. I said I didnt like the first one that much and liked the second better. So? Art is subjective! It is all about personal preference. Not every person is going to love every one of your paintings, and people will always like some paintings over others. That is to be expected when you are an artist of any kind, whether you paint, or write music, or are a writer, what have you. We all love Anne Rice but how many of us here abhor Blood Canticle? See, I made my point

I am sure her work has been critiqued too but that would be by art critics and not somewhere where I am trying to show her off. dan you dont have to be an art critic to say if you like a painting or not. you just have to be human. that is what art is about. for people to take from it what they will. And all I simply said was that I dont care much for the first one but the second one is awesome. Nothing wrong in that! I wouldnt have any problem with people reading my short stories or plays and telling me that they didnt care for one of them or liked one over another.

LOL lol, I know. I have like 4 diego rivera's framed for my walls. I only have 1 Frida, though. I want to get a few more fridas, I keep meaning to. One day I will get at least 1 more. She needs to be more equally present in my space with her husband! that would be really cool though, to get this print of hers, and get frida's "what the water gave me" (which is one of my favorite frida paintings) then get them framed and hang them side by side on my wall right behind my couch. I thin that would look brilliant!
