My dad's brilliant, 69 years old and the only way he looks different is his hair going grey. He's also super fit, he walked with us to where we saw the torch and I was Knackered after but he was going to take his dog straight out for a walk!

I would say he is sweet now, he wasn't always though, he was bad tempered and selfish and miserable when I lived with him. He changed for the better after my mum died. He has a fab, active life and knows loads of people. The 2 women in one of the pics are my auntie's, his sisters who he spends a lot of time with. What I love about him now is he just says yes to everything he's invited to, we're going to a theme park tomorrow together!!

hour and a half slaving away in the kitchen!

first I boiled some tomatoes and dried red peppers and then blended them up with some additional spices and a can of tomato sauce, added some water to reduce the thickness, including the water used to boil, that's the sauce for the meat

I cooked some thin charcoal steaks with green peppers and then added some sliced onions and potatoes, dumped in the red sauce and am now letting it slow boil so the potatoes get soft, will take a bit cause I don't have lid for this giant pan I'm using

it stayed! lol, I keep adding a mixture of water and the water used to boil the peppers and tomatoes because the continued boiled is thickening the sauce again, but I still keep tasting and the flavor is holding up, even the boy seemed to like the sauce, that was the real test, he poured some on some chips, lol, potatoes almost soft, just a bit more cooking of them

tired of waiting for these damn potatoes, they yield well enough, just wanted them a bit softer, but I want to walk this dog and eat and shower and hop into bed to watch The Innkeepers cause later this week its going to be hot as fuck to get comfortable for such things

all that simmering paid off I think, the meat was so tender and the potatoes worked out just fine, mmmm mmmm

Back at work and could not be more meh about it. I have a full week though, today I'll get a new fridge and they'll deliver sometime between 5 and 10 so this evening is checked, tomorrow I might be going on a date, Thursday I am meeting a friend, Friday I have a spa treatment and Saturday I am going to Helsinki to meet my author buddies again. I'll spend the night there and be back home late afternoon.

fucking insomnia got me again last night, up since 2 am, tried to nap when I got home and couldn't! so I'm eating now and then I'll shower then I'll go to bed and home to fall asleep with the aid of a melatonin pill
