I am resting today...well as much as I can! I need to clean up the flat a bit. But not going out anywhere.

My sisters having her oldest dog put to sleep today, he's 13 or 14... She got him not long after our mum died. Everything is failing, his eyesight, hearing, memory..and now his back legs.

I feel sorry for your poor sister. It's so difficult when you lose a pet. I really hope you feel a lot better, try not to worry too much about housework, it's not going to go anywhere and you really do need to rest and get over your infection. When your kidneys are involved it can get very nasty very quickly.

I know Kay, I had to have my dog put to sleep in February, was so bad.

My test results show no problem with my kidneys....so why do I have lower back pain?!! I'm not taking any painkillers because they do work, but I need to know how bad this feels to decide if I need to go back to doctors about it tomorrow...

Any chance you're pregnant?.....

You may also have strained your back a bit.....

I have been thinking that Kay, I am on contraceptive pill and having "periods" but I think I should do a test to rule it out.

Feeling ok now, had some pains in the night though

I'm pretty sure I'm not but you never know. The way my life has changed it's a good idea to check!

Always best to check just in case. The tests are simple and easily available.

Done test, not pregnant!! Still need to go to doctors to say I'm having this pain...

It's probably period or Pms related, Jane. I have bad Pms and basically for twice weeks every month my lower back hurts. It's lotsa fun, lemme tell ya.

My daughter turned six yesterday. It was a beautiful day for her party and of course, she was spoiled rotten. She deserves it though. I've never seen her do a mean or spoiled thing... quite the opposite. I know I'm biased but she's like...a little angel or something.

Sheila I'm on the contraceptive pill so don't get bad period pains.... And my period was last week. They are really light which is one reason I checked if I was pregnant.

You've possibly strained your lower back muscles a bit then.

We're going to a really nice spa this afternoon for some relaxation time together
