You are exactly right, Kay. I am planning on saying to him that he is not being a real man by doing that, but I know it is going to be hard to get through his head, being that he comes from a culture that teaches men that they are not a man if they put their wives on a completely equal level

That's just awful. I know there are lots of cultures out there like that, but it is no excuse, in fact it's the 21st century, women are and always were equal and any man that makes you feel like you are less than equal needs to have a good look at themselves. Only men who are scared of women would want to make them feel lesser. They also don't have any confidence in themselves because they must think that if you thought yourself equal you would not want to be with them.

First day of my 2 weeks off work and I'm sat in the doctors! I think I have a urinary infection, I feel like I need to pee constantly this morning and had to get up 3 times last night... I've been going a lot since Thursday but this morning is so bad, the only relief I get is if I lay down. Hope the doctor hurries up and calls me in!!

Kept me waiting half an hour but I do have an infection and she gave me antibiotics. Going to sleep for a bit, I feel drained, had bad nights sleep

urinary infections are sometimes caused by STDs, which are sometimes spread by promiscuous keep fit instructors!

Actually you can get them from having sex a lot, so go Jane!

They are usually fairly easy to treat which is good.

they are caused by the penis pushing bacteria from the vagina up into the urinary tract and into the bladder. You are more likely to get them if you do not pee within 10 minutes after having sex. Even better is to pee right before and right after sex

what is weird is that he does treat me equal the vast majority of the time, and it is only in this one way that he doesnt, and he only does there here and there, not even every time. So it is like he doesnt want to fully admit that he has surrendered to the american way of the wife being the equal, so here and there he does this to keep making him think in his head that he is still "the man" and I cant tell him what to do.

I thought it would be caused by something sexual! Never had this before.

Michele, he shouldn't be out until 6 in the fucking morning in the first place. And I personally don't think a married man should be going to strip clubs except on a special occasion like a bachelor party or some such thing.

But it is VERY common for couples to have exactly this sort of trouble during their early married life as they haven't entered a comfort zone with each other and are not used to having to answer for their behavior to a spouse. He likely is just used to doing this and not having to explain himself.

Have you deciphered the Spanish texts he sent you? If you need some help, I can give it a try. I know un poco Espanol.

I suppose craig and i are lucky, we hardly ever go out anyway. Suppose i should go out one day next week, need holiday clothes and as much as i adore craigs mum and am very greatful for all she has done for us our taste in clothes is so different i dont really want to go clothes shopping on her money. Shes been looking and is eyeing stuff up for me.



Well, not long before ratbag goes to bed and i can stream last nights true blood :)

In my relationship it feels more controlling than I am used to. He likes to know where I am all the time. He worries if I don't text back pretty soon....like at work I now tell him if I'm going into a long meeting because in the past I've returned to 2 or 3 texts asking if I'm ok..... He likes me to text when I get to work and when I get home so he knows I'm ok..... But he does the same thing for me also. He says where he is, and he tells me when he will be home, without me having to prompt him. So I don't mind it. It's just very different to the silence I was used to.

With James we've always just automatically told each other when we'd be home and where we were going. It wasn't anything that was said, it just happened that way.

That's what I think too. But I think it goes without saying that you let your spouse know when you are going out. I don't think you need to know more though. Or at least I always assume that "going out" means late hours or even early mornings. lol.

Yeah we see each other only now and then so it hasn't really progressed much. That's why I call him a date.

 

bit hangoverish. Not too bad though. Had a great Critters night. Though I have to say, like often with childhood favorites, the movie was pretty bad. heh.

hiya - how's things?

Not too bad, I'm keeping busy. How about you?

I'm not too good today, had a lot of pain in my lower back, suggesting my infection has spread to my kidneys. Seen out of hours doctor and I just have to get my urine test results tomorrow so they know for sure what is happening with me

I made too much food! Who's hungry!

I cooked chicken tenders, well seasoned, in olive oil, and them tossed in strips of red and green bell peppers, strips of white onion, and strips of jalapeno pepper, cooked them all well till the meat was cooked and the veggies were tender

then I experimented with kale, sauteed it with garlic and olive oil, then a bit of white wine and white balsamic vinegrette and red pepper flakes, maybe a bit too much of the balsamic but it seems okay, need to work the flavor next time and need to know if kale retains a bit of texture after cooking or if I didn't cook it long enough

then a can of corn mixed with a can of diced tomatoes, seasoned up with spices including a bit of ghost pepper flakes cause I ran out of time and forgot to dice up some jalapenos that I wanted in it

too much food! I'm smoking a bowl so that I can work up some hunger just to have a nibble! think I 'll just have one taco of the chicken make shift fajita and that's it, the kale looks intimating in that I think it would be too filling and I don't want to feel full getting so late
